Kuala Lumpur: Known for its higher cost of living, the capital city offers a wide range of housing options. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center can range from RM1,800 to RM3,500 a month. Rent outside the city center is usually lower, starting at RM1,200 to RM2,500. Utilities, including electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage, cost approximately RM200 to RM400 per month. Internet costs between RM100 to RM200 per month.
Penang: Famous for its vibrant culture and delectable cuisine, Penang offers a moderate cost of living.
