Eligibility Criteria and Process Flow

Resident Indians above 18 years of age who are literate and able to sign uniformly. Proof of Identity (PoI) – Aadhaar card, ID card, Passport, Driving License, or NREGA Job Card. Proof of Address (PoA) – Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, or NREGA Job Card. Step 1: Download the YONO SBI App
The first step is to download the YONO SBI app from the Play Store. Once downloaded, follow these steps:
Navigate to the app and enter your mobile number and email (if available). Two different OTPs will be sent to your mobile number and email (if provided). Key in the OTPs to proceed.If you already have an account with YONO SBI, you can also register using your ATM card details.
Step 2: KYC and Application Password
During this step, you will be required to:
Select the appropriate items from the dropdown options for your Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA). Enter the relevant details such as the Document Number, Expiry Date, Issued By, Issued At, and Issued Date as per PoI and PoA. Create an Application Password on the next screen.Note: For women and also if the marital status is “married,” the applicant will need to enter their spouse’s name.
Step 3: Photo Capturing
For this step, you will have to:
Capture a clear photograph using the web cam or upload an existing one (for cases where the App is used).Make sure the image is clear and of high quality to ensure a successful upload.
Step 4: Additional Details and Nomination
On this screen, you will need to:
Enter additional details such as Father’s and Mother’s names, marital status, mother’s maiden name (if female and married), and occupation. Select the details like income, education, and religion from the available options. If applicable, fill in the nomination details, including the nominee’s name, relationship, age, and address. If the nominee is a minor, enter the guardian’s details as well.Step 5: Specifying Services Required
Here, you will specify the services you require:
Select the required services like Internet Banking (View) Rights, Cheque book, SMS Alerts, and click on the “Next” button. Select the Debit Card type and variant, and provide the details as they will appear on the debit card.Step 6: Terms and Conditions, OTP Acknowledgment, and Reference Number
Finally, you will:
Read and confirm the Terms and Conditions. Check the box to agree to receive information on other Products and Offerings from the bank from time to time. Receive the OTP on your mobile number and key it in as Acknowledgement. See the 6-digit reference number generated, which you will need to carry along with you to the branch for KYC verification.
