Riding the Waves of Life: A Quoran's Journey from Birth to Now
For those of you who are Quorans, this is a personal journey of life, from birth till now. I am going anonymous for this post, and I can only describe it with one sentence: 'What a ride'.
Adversity Begins - Early Life Struggles
From the moment I was born, my family faced numerous challenges. My father was declared bankrupt, and as a result, he attempted suicide. However, with the help of relatives, he managed to pay off the debt. Despite these struggles, I excelled academically in kindergarten and primary school.
Incidents and Divides - Accidents and Losses
Tragedy struck when I was involved in a car accident while following my mother to pick up my brother and sister from tuition. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt, but I sustained minor injuries that led to my injury at the dashboard. However, my academic performance was not affected, and my primary school teacher praised my results in Mathematics.
Unfortunately, my first pet dogs, Kiki and Lala, passed away due to poisoning and cancer respectively. I also had a best friend, but when I entered secondary school, he decided to ignore me. These challenges taught me a lot and shaped me into the person I am today.
Undertakings in Academia and Relationships
During secondary school, my academic performance in Mathematics was noteworthy and praised by my teacher. I faced personal health issues such as bad body odor, which led to me avoiding my classmates. However, during this time, my father faced another car accident, fortunately with no injuries since the whole car was destroyed. My secondary school teacher again commended me for my academic performance.
My younger brother had frequent seizures, which scared me as I thought about what could have happened had I not noticed. Although I only formed a few close friendships in class, I still managed to score decently in my exams. My father also commented on my exam results and even lost 2 months' salary due to my own carelessness. Despite these challenges, I eventually got accepted into a public university.
Final Days and Resolutions
It was during my final days at university that I noticed a new pet dog, Jodie, passing away due to cancer. This event deeply affected me, leading to a complete shift to introversion in university life. My older sister then had her first child, but this wasn't the highlight of my journey. Instead, it brought me into a state of depression over my final year project.
Enter the chapter of relationships. I had a long-distance relationship, but we managed to progress. I graduated from my university and decided to work closer to my partner, though it meant moving far from my family. An accident with my partner left us with minor injuries, but our car suffered significant damage. This brings us to the end of my journey so far, marked by a mix of triumphs and challenges.
Though long, this journey is just the beginning. Life is a constant journey of understanding and accepting every aspect that comes our way, and I have come to appreciate every experience, good or bad.
