RRB PO Mains Exam Experience and Tips
So hi everyone. I recently attempted the RRB PO Mains paper 2023. In this article, I will share my experience, the sequence of my paper, and some tips for future aspirants.
Personal Experience: RRB PO Mains 2023
My exam experience began with General Awareness (GA), which turned out to be quite lengthy and tricky. There were many static and scheme-based questions, so I managed to attempt only 21 out of the total. I am expecting around 12-13 marks from this section.
Next up was the Computer Awareness section. It was relatively good, and I attempted 29 questions, hoping to secure around 10-11 marks.
I moved on to the English section, which was good but not too easy. I managed to attempt 30 questions and am hopeful of scoring at least 23-24 marks.
The Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section came next, and I felt this year's paper was more moderate than the previous year's. However, I only managed to attempt 14 questions.
Finally, I tackled the Reasoning section. While the paper was moderate compared to last year, I only attempted 22 questions, which could result in a lower score. Overall, I found the paper to be on the moderate side, but the exact difficulty level remains subjective.
I am still seeking feedback from those who attempted the RRB PO Mains 2022 exam to get a better understanding of the marking scheme and difficulty level.
Note: 25th September 2023
Today, the RRB PO Mains result was released, and I cleared the mains exam. My next challenge is the interview. As of a later edit, my result has been finalized, and I have been selected as an RRB PO in the Tripura Gramin Bank.
NIACL AO Exam Followed by RRB PO Mains
My NIACL AO exam was on September 9th in the second shift, starting at 4:30 PM. The RRB PO Mains followed on the same day in a different city.
Unfortunately, after appearing for the NIACL Prelims, I faced a logistical challenge. I had to take a train within half an hour. I asked my sister to bring my RRB PO mains admit card and some clothes to the station, but she forgot to bring my preliminary admit card, and I did not double-check it either.
On the exam day, after arriving at the test center via a cab that cost 550 bucks, it was raining heavily. Upon reaching the center, I realized that I did not have my preliminary admit card. I called the IBPS authorities and made several attempts to enter the center, but to no avail. I had to return home with tears in my eyes, feeling dejected.
After a few days, I regained my composure and started preparing for the IBPS PO and SBI PO exams, along with the CGL exam.
