Personal Experience: IBPS RRB PO Exam and Hotel Manasi Interview
On November 15th, I applied for the IBPS RRB PO ( Probationary Officer) position from Uttarakhand. After a thorough document verification process, I was immediately called by the panel due to my prompt arrival, as I was the second to report.
The IBPS RRB PO Panel Experience in Aryavrat Bank Training Centre
The interview was scheduled at Aryavrat Bank Training Centre in Lucknow, a highly reputed and professional venue. The panel consisted of five members, including four males and one female, all dressed in formal attire, exuding confidence and competence.
Initial Greetings and Introduction
After the bell rang, I entered the interview room where I greeted the panel beginning with the female member and then seated myself. The interview began with the panel head asking me to introduce myself, providing a brief overview of my background and family.
Question on Cricket and K-pop
In the second round, M1 asked whether I liked cricket. When I confirmed that I did, he further probed about my knowledge regarding the 1975 World Cup. I confidently answered, mentioning some notable winners of the World Cup. M1 then switched to a different topic, asking me about K-pop and what I had read regarding the recent news of an Indian girl being selected for a K-pop group. I acknowledged my knowledge but admitted not knowing the girl's name.
Graduation Details and Rural Development
The female member asked me about my graduation subjects, and I provided the necessary details. Later, the panel transitioned to more complex questions, including a discussion on the role of Rural Rajya Bank (RRB) and my potential plans for contributing to my village if selected.
Financial Knowledge Miscellaneous Questions
M4 asked me to explain KYC (Know Your Customer) and CRR (Cash Reserve Ratio), which I elaborated on with precision. M1 then asked me to elaborate on KCC, and I explained it thoroughly. The interview concluded with a few random questions that I cannot recall at this moment.
Experience at Hotel Manasi: A Mechanical Engineer's Perspective
On November 19th, 2021, I appeared for the Hotel Manasi interview, located in Aurangabad. The interview took place in English, and the panel consisted of four members, three males and one female.
Initial Questions and Background
The interview was conducted in a relaxed but professional environment, where the panel asked me about my family background. I mentioned that my father works with a bank, a strategic opening that helped set the tone for subsequent questions.
Current News and Farm Laws
The panel then moved on to discussing current news, specifically the withdrawal of farm laws. They asked me about my views on the subject, which I gave with the understanding that the laws were intended to support farmers and improve their socio-economic status.
Key Agricultural Terminology
Further, they queried me about the Minimum Support Price (MSP), a crucial agricultural concept. I explained that the MSP is the minimum price at which a commodity is purchased from the cultivators by the government, and that the decision on MSP is made by the government to ensure fair prices for farmers.
Discussion on economic concepts and MSME
The interview continued with questions on the economic correlation between demand and supply, which gauged my understanding of basic economic principles. The second panel member inquired about why I didn't want to join my father’s bank, to which I replied that I was an ex-serviceman and wanted a different path in life. The interview ended on a positive note as I shared my views and concerns with the panel head.
Conclusion
Each interview was a unique experience, offering valuable insights into the typical questions asked by the RRB and Bank interview panels. The Hotel Manasi interview also highlighted the increasing trend of incorporating current news and economic awareness in the selection process. With a score of 75/100, I am hopeful for a positive result in the upcoming IBPS RRB PO exam.
